Battlefield of the Mind (Chapter 3: Don’t Give Up)

 

1.   Read Galatians 6:9

As you regain the territory the devil has stolen from, what encouragement do you receive from Galatians 6:9?

 

 

2.   Read Isaiah 43:2

a)    What does God promise us regarding difficulties we experience?

 

b)   Quitting is easy. How can we overcome difficulties?

 

3.   Read Deuteronomy 30:19, Proverbs 18:21

A)   How can we decide what is right or wrong for us on a daily basis?

 

B)   How can we avoid choosing death?

 

 

 

4.   Read Deuteronomy 1:2,6-8

A)   Why did it take the Israelites 40 years to make an eleven-day Journey? How does their problem relate to us today in our spiritual journey.

 

B)   When God told the Israelites, “you have dwelt long enough on this mountain.” What was He really saying? What is He saying to us today?

 

As we renew our mind with the Word of God we will begin to see positive changes in our thoughts and in all other areas of life.

Chapter 2: A vital Necessity

 

 

 

 

As with the previous chapter, before answering the questions below, 1stread the corresponding Chapter in the Battlefield Of The Mind (if you have the book) and then  Scriptures designated below.

 

 

1. Read Proverbs 22:7

This scripture sows us how very important it is that we think properly. The first paragraph of Battlefield of the Mind. Chapter 2 tells us thoughts are ________________, and according to the writer of the book of Proverbs, they have_________________.

What does this mean to you?

 

 

2. Read Romans 8:5
a) To have a successful Christian life, what alternative to fleshly wrong and negative thoughts is a vital necessity?

 

 

 

b) If your life is in a state of chaos because of years of wrong thinking, what can you do to straighten it out?

 

 

3. Read Zechariah 4:6
A) Since determination is not enough to be set from from strongholds, what else is needed?

 

 

B) In what way is right thinking compared to a heartbeat or blood pressure?

 

 

4. Read Matthew 12:33 
A) Explain how the phrases “A tree is known by its fruit” pertains to our lives?

 

 

 

 

B) Can a person’s thought life be discerned by looking at his attitude toward life in general?

Action Plan:

Study Matthew 12:33 and Proverbs 23:7.

Reflect on how you have been conquering Satan's strongholds through your renewed thinking.  How has this been going?  Do you need some advice or help? What are some of the achievements you have seen since you changed your thinking?

The Mind is the Battlefield Intro & chapter 1

This class will help firmly establish in your heart that you need to begin to think about what you are thinking about, so that you line up your thoughts with God’s thoughts. This renewal of the mind is a process that requires time, but it is well worth the effort. For when you begin to see God’s good plan for you in your thinking, you will begin to walk in it. 

 

1. Read 2 Corinthians 10,4:,5 & Proverbs 23:7

2. Read Romans 8:5

How do your actions relate to our thoughts?

How will we know the difference between whats in our mind and what’s in the mind of God?

a. How does Satan attempt to defeat us?

God never loses a battle. He has a definite battle plan—and when we follow it, we  always win! Praise & Worship are really a battle position: they Confuse the enemy. When we take our position, we will see the enemy’s defeat!  

4. Read Luke 4:18,19 
a. According to this passage, what has God promised concerning the poor, the captives, the blind, the oppressed and others? ___________________________
